Legal fees are expensive but Lynch Morgan
Lawyers has a number of costing arrangements available to meet your
circumstances.
Staged
costing
You don’t have to commit to an unlimited budget for legal costs rather
we assist you to budget by breaking up any retainer into defined stages.
You’re free to commit only to each stage of the proceedings and
to proceed to the next stage only if you wish to spend more money.
Fixed
Price costing
Where feasible we can provide
you with a fixed cost for a legal task so that there are no nasty surprises at
the end of the matter.
Item
Charge costing
If you wish to know exactly
what your legal dollar is buying we provide itemised accounts based on the
traditional scale costs structure modified to accommodate the type of legal
work required.
This type of costing allows you to seek clarification of any particular
item charged to you.
Event
costing
Sometimes clients find it beneficial to plan their legal expenditure by reference to certain defined events in
the progress of a matter. This method permits certainty both in the amount
charged and the time at which the charges are payable.
Time
costing
Sometimes clients are not interested in an item charge summary but
rather are more concerned to ensure that they are charged only for the time
spent on undertaking the legal work involved.
If requested we can render fees on the basis of a time costing method.
Deferred
costing
We recognise that sometimes your financial position does not allow the
immediate payment of fees and that you need some flexibility in the time for
payment of fees.
Subject to certain conditions, we try to help by agreeing to defer
payment of our fees until a time convenient to you.
Secured
costing
We understand that sometimes urgent legal action is necessary in order
to protect your interests and that it is not always possible to meet immediate
funding requirements.
In these type of situations we try to assist by securing our costs
against your assets or those of a third party so that we can help you straight
away and get paid later.
Pro
Bono Work
As legal professionals we recognise our obligation to the public to
provide legal services at no cost to deserving cases where the client cannot
afford to pay fees.
However the decision to act pro bono is a matter for the individual
lawyer involved and is subject to the agreement of all partners. |
